About the RAINE Foundation

Since its beginnings in 2001, The RAINE (Reaching All In Need Everyday) Foundation has positively impacted the Bayshore community by providing food, clothing, and other necessities for families in crisis throughout the year. They help people in towns throughout the Bayshore area including Keyport, Union Beach, Hazlet, Holmdel, Matawan/Aberdeen, Keansburg, Middletown, Atlantic Highlands, Highlands, and Red Bank.

In the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy, RAINE’s reach and resources were extended to include the entire New Jersey shore area. In the weeks following Superstorm Sandy, RAINE was able to organize their “army of volunteers” to provide food, clothing, and other assistance to those affected, including serving over 20,000 meals a day to victims and first responders.

The RAINE team, based in Hazlet, NJ, consists of compassionate, caring individuals striving to make a difference in the lives of others.  The money raised through the Bill Volk Regatta and the “Sailing for the Bayshore” campaign helps the RAINE Foundation extend their reach to more people each year. In addition to managing an average of 10 cases a week, the all-volunteer team helps children and families in meaningful ways throughout the year.  In 2016, the RAINE Foundation:

  • Brought toys to approximately 1,400 children at Christmas

  • Sent school supplies to more than 200 children in need

  • Served Thanksgiving meals to more than 250 families

  • Delivered 285 Easter baskets

With the generous support of our members and friends, the Keyport Yacht Club has raised more than $70,000 for the RAINE Foundation, which means we’ve helped hundreds of neighbors who need the most help. With your support, we can make 2017 our biggest year, yet!
